Korean Inspired "Ombre Lips" Tutorial
Assalamualaikum and Hello Loveliesss~~~
Raining days lately and my laundry hasn't dry quite nicely. Arrgghhhh~~ But the good thing is I don't feel tired during this fasting season. The cold breeze, wet and high humidity. It feels AWESOME.
Anyway today's entry is not about weather. While i was reading an online articles about weather report for my next travelling trip, my dear friend texted me if i can help her with make up. Of course, as the best and kind friend (HOHOHOHO!!),I'm up for it.
So she asked me if i can teach her how to do the TRENDIEST trend,mother-of-all-trend right now, which is Korean Signature Ombre Lips make up. Sweety, that ombre lips is not even from Korea. Our ancestors created it loooooong time ago.
Korean make it famous because they know how much people love KPOP nowadays. LOLz!
Anyway, without further ado, I made below video for those who want to learn how to create that candy-i-just-finish-licking-you kind of look. Enjoy!!!

"Threats Out" Rolled Ice-cream
Assalamualaikum and hello loveliesss~~~
So last week, my family and I went to Danau Kota uptown (or night market per say). Honestly, living in Kuala Lumpur for 3 months now, that was my first time going there. I didn't expect much, thought it will be just the same in other night markets that I've been.
Then, the further we went, the more unique products that we saw. There's antics, sugar strawberries wrap in sugar edible plastic, various of street food, and many more.
Talk about street food, there was one store that caught my eyes. Just a small ones, with 2 or 3 teenagers working out something on a wide, flat pan. The store's name is Threats Out and they sell rolled ice-creams. Without hesitation, I ordered chocolate and strawberry mixed with colourful rice grain on top.
When they started making it, I managed to take a video of it. Yummy~~~~
It costs me RM10 per bowl (quite expensive if you ask me) but they've been in the business for a long time and the skills are priceless. But the thing that I love about this ice-cream is that it's not as sweet as your regular, maintstream ice-cream. The taste is subtle, a little bit bitter from the strawberry and rice grains, and you won't get brain freeze. Don't know why but I like it!
So if you ever come to Kuala Lumpur, try go to Danau Kota and have some bites for this rolled ice-cream. I'm not sure if it taste better than rolled ice-cream from 10ᵒC or not, but all I can say is that it's worth to give it a try. Enjoy~~~

My Affordable Skin Care Products For Dry-Combination Skin
Assalamualaikum and hello loveliesss~~~
I'm so excited to write this post because I haven't share my skin care routine with anyone before. So today, my secret to healthy and glow skin is out~~~
Not that I want to keep it as a secret anyway. hew hew hew
So as you can see below, these are the products that I use. They are affordable, easy to get at any drug stores but the most important thing is they are suitable for my dry-combination skin.
P/s: I can't give you the price for each products because different stores have different price tags.
1. Collagen Eyes & Lips Make up Remover
This make up remover works amazing for my dry under eye skin because the oil contents is quite a lot compares to other products such as L'oreal or Silky Girl make up remover. And it doesn't irritate my eyes even removing make up while wearing contact lens. Other good alternative is by Bio-Essence.
2. Sephora Milk Cleanser
This is one of my favourite products of all time and I always go back to it. My foundation came off easily, it hydrates my skin, and best of all, I only use half squirt and it is enough to remove my make up just as much as I want it.
3. Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera
Do I really have to tell you how amazing this toner is? For dry-combination skin, one of the important ingredients in the products that you have to look for is Aloe Vera because it is dry skin's guardian angel. It helps to balance out the skin pH and increase the hydration of problematic skin. Witch hazel act as vitamin E to help with skin elasticity without irritating it.
4. Botanics Mentholatum Hydrating Face Wash
Before this, I'm using Watsons 360 gel facial wash that I bought in Xiamen. But since I'm back to Malaysia, I can't seems to find it anywhere. So I bought this one instead. The one that I bought has the words "Dry Combination Skin" label near the bottom. It has creamy rough texture and smells like chemicals but surprisingly, it works well with my skin. Massage the product using your palm or facial brush. The one that I have is by Olay Regenerist.
5. Organic Aids Moisturizing Cream
I'm totally in love with it. Not only it doesn't have any odour, but it is a good primer before I apply my foundation. And it absorbs into my skin pretty quickly so that I can cut time of waiting before applying make up.
6. Simple Eye Cream
One tips to make sure that you're using your moisturizing products at its best is by keeping it in a fridge when you don't need it. When you want to use it, take it out from the fridge and apply it while it still cold. You'll notice the difference!
7. Babies R Us Petroleum Jelly
There are tons of brands creating petroleum jelly in a small cube so that you can bring it with all the time. Never leave your lips dry and chips. EVER! You could be stumble with your old ex's or friends and you don't want to them to stare at your lips disgustingly while you chat. Or you could suddenly meet hot guy and end up kissing him. Who knows? And besides, it has different uses other than prime your lips first thing before applying make up anyway. You can mix a little bit of petroleum jelly with foundation to add luminous effect. Or you can just simply rub it on your feet palms before going to sleep to give that smooth plump feet palms.
There you go. It's not some fancy, high-end products that leave you penniless just to own them. All I care about is that as long as they can work well with my skin and protect my skin before I apply make up, it is a good investment. You can check out my video below to see how use all those products during undoing my make up to my skin care routine. Take care and love y'all.

Why I Don't See Romantic Relationship As Romantic Anymore
Assalamualaikum and hello loveliesss~~~
Today's entry is a little bit different from what I usually write. Maybe because this hot weather give me some courage to write something that I should've write long time ago.
Who have been in lots of relationship that always end up with break up and sad ending? Who have been judged by people who said, "You're changing boyfriends like changing clothes."? Or who have been told off to stay away from their sons because you are not good enough? Or further more, who have been in the happiest relationship but one day you got a news that your boyfriend passed away? I do. Does it hurt? Yes. Does it make me angry? Of course. Does it make me want to go for revenge? Definitely.
But WAIT! Why should I feel that way? Why would I crumbled and shut myself from the world? Just because I'm a human? Well, maybe. But I realize from my first relationship which is also happen to be my first love, he once told me, "Dear, when you are ready to fall in love, you must be ready to let go or break up someday." Sounds harsh, isn't it? But actually he's right. Because after he passed away, it only took me a day to grief, which is during his funeral. The next day, I went on with my life as usual and only think about my happy memories with him.
Then, in a new relationship, my other half was caught cheating by me with one of his student. The only thing he said was, "Sorry, Naj. You weren't always there." I was a sales person and travelling to do promotion for my company was a must. I admit that I wasn't there when he asked me to go out for movies, or dinner with him because he can't go anywhere without companion. He said that people who go out alone looks depressed and pathetic. Ouch! It's good that he dumped me actually, because it made me realize that I can't have my own privacy but only with him. And that's weird because sometimes I love to have my own space to hang out with my family and friends. From that relationship, I'm started looking for someone who can respect my time'privacy to be with my family and friends once in a while, or even solo travel to find peace.
Next relationship is no different. Same cheating situation but this time he dumped me for another guy. ANOTHER GUY! My ownbest friend. Instead of getting angry and shouting, I was laughing hard because I have no idea that he has interest in same gender and when he dumped me for him, the first thing that I thought was, "Is that guy is HOTTER than me????" Funny how universe works to show us who is the real person amongst us. Learning from previous relationship, I started to be a cautious kind of girl and prepare for anything bad happens when your partner started to act strangely.
Then there's this guy. Met him during my trip to Tioman Island. Elegant, handsome, few years older than me. We left Tioman Island separately but managed to swap phone numbers. After just a few months dating, his mother suddenly came and attacked me with harsh words at my apartment to leave his son. Seems like those kind of thing only happens in a movie, isn't it? But it wasn't. I knew straight away that great thing happens is a fairy tale and just too good to be true. I can't spend my life with bad company. No way. So instead of shouting back at her, I just smile and said that his son is better without me or without anyone except his momma. At least I could keep my pride, and his momma can keep him. pffftt...
I went from lovey-dovey-love-is-in-the-air kind of girl to I-couldn't-care-less-what-you-think-of-me kind of woman. And during my study, that's when this one guy came to me in his I-don't-care-a shit-as-long-as-we-can-do-fun-stuff-together kind of manner. He has everything that I want in a guy. Calm, smart, problem solver, creative, funny, talkative only when he's with me, mature and childish at the right time, share high-level of sarcasm. But I know that this relationship won't go anywhere because I always prepare myself that nothing lasts forever. So when he suddenly disappeared without a word, I have nothing to lose and wait for. So I just moved on and enjoy my life doing my arts, spending more time with holiday. Because as far as I'm concerned, I don't need to wait for someone who left me without a word.
So as I grow up and getting older, of course I was attacked with many questions such as "When are you going to introduce your man?" , "When are you getting married?" , or "Aren't you embarrassed to stay single while others already married?" , or sometimes "Do you like same gender relationship?" Lolz! Honestly, I'm not interested to look for love any more. I don't care about marriage at all, and I definitely love to spend my time as a single person and solo travel. But that doesn't mean that I hate love or marriage ideas. No, I'm not. I still celebrate love by attending wedding invitations, do bridal make ups for my friends, prepare wedding gifts for relatives.
So all I want to say is that, if you ever been in painful relationship or maybe just got away from it, chill out. There's nothing to cry about. If he left, means he left. Don't need to beg or stress over it. If he's not meant for you, means he's not meant for you. Life is hard enough. Don't make anything more complicated as it is.
Maybe some of you won't agree with my post, maybe some of you would. Or we can just agree to disagree. Anyway, good luck in finding your love. See you in my next post. Love y'all.

Najwa's Simple Stir Fried Yee Mee
Assalamualaikum and hello Lovelies ♥♥♥
It's Sunday~~~ I love doing activities on Sunday. I have just finished my workout and right now, I'm SUPER HUNGRYYYYYY!!!! So I want to eat something very fulfilling, but doesn't have too much ingredients. Something quick to prepared, but not fast food. Something delicious, but still healthy for my diet plan.
You must be thinking that, "Hmm...this girl is super picky with her food. And healthy food? Yuckk!!!" Hahaha..I got that a lot. But am I suppose to care what people think? NOPE.
Now back to my story, what should I cook? Let me see...I opened the fridge and saw these ingredients:
1. Leek
2. Chilli
3. Carrot
4. Coriander
5. Egg
And outside of the fridge, I saw shallot and garlic. yihaaaa~~~
So this is what I did:
1. I started doing omelette by mixing egg and coriander together (without salt). Then I poured the mixture into medium heat non-stick pan because I don't want to use oil. Once cooked, I put on the chopping board and started to chop it diagonally(that's how I like it to be)
2. Then I soaked yee mee into hot water to ensure all the food colouring been removed. While waiting for it to become a little bit softer, I washed and chopped the leek, chilli, shallot, garlic, and sliced the carrot. Remove/ Exile the water from yee mee.
3. In the medium heat non-stick pan, I saute the shallot and garlic for few seconds before adding other vegetables and stirred them together.
4. I added some salt and pepper.
5. Finally I added the yee mee and mixed them together. I put it in the plate with chopped omelette at the side. Tadaaaaaa~~~~~
It only took me less than 10 minutes to prepare this meal and it's very satisfying. Let me know if you already try this recipe and what do you think about it. Hope to hear from you soon. Love ya~~~

What Should You Do Before Having Life Insurance/Takaful?
Assalamualaikum and hello Lovelies ♥♥♥
As the topic above mentioned, I'm only going to mention about LIFE INSURANCE. Not car insurance, not jewellery insurance, not real estate insurance, not even hair insurance. Savvy? So I hope you make the right decision on choosing your own life insurance company.
Health Facts of 2014 |
Various Factors of Death |
Did you know that 40% death in this world happens because of accidents and sudden health disease such as heart attack? And did you know that most of the death is not covered by insurance? Meaning, you leave the world without even leaving any compensation for your family!
Yes, your family love you. Yes, they pray for you once you go for after life. Yes, money is not everything. But be realistic. What if you are the head of the family? What if you are the only one who's working to support them? What if your children still studying in kindergarten or schools? You know that education is important. You know that education needs MONEY.
Don't be selfish. Think of your loved ones... |
It's not about how you take care of your health like a sports-freak or something. SUDDEN DEATH can happens to ANYONE. I always believe the words "Shit Happens" anywhere, any time. But how can you prepare this catastrophe so that your family won't be left with unfortunate once you leave them for afterlife? 1 simple answer: LIFE INSURANCE/TAKAFUL.
For your information, I've seen a lot of insurance policies. Lots of insurance agent that convince me that everything can be covered. Lots of them 'ease' my daily work by asking me to pay the insurance monthly fee to them. What...? Are you serious...? How can I know that they won't run away with my money? How can I be certain that they're not bluffing me about the benefits or how fast they can compensate me if anything happens?
So here's some of my ideas, what I did, and I think what you should do before applying life insurance/takaful:
✔RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH
- It's an IT world nowadays. Do some research on insurance company that have strong base, high achievement, good services, highly beneficial. When you start paying insurance fee monthly and it started becoming your commitment, it means that you put your trust for the company to handle your money correctly.
Research about insurance companies in your countries |
✔DOWNSIZE YOUR CHOICES
- From 10 insurance companies in your countries, try to downsize it to 5 or 3 companies that you sure have good reviews in the internet or newspapers.
✔TAKE YOUR TIME, DON'T RUSH IT
- You will have new commitment by paying insurance fee monthly/yearly. So make sure you take your time and know what the insurance benefits suit your job and health. And know how it should benefits your family if anything happens to you. This key point is also the same with RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH topic.
✔CALL and ASK
- 'Malu bertanya, sesat jalan' (You will lost if you're shy to ask). Once you chose several companies that you most preferred, give each one of them a call and ask general questions about how long they have established, how many agents/staff in their company, who should you meet to discuss/explain more about insurances.
✔SET UP A MEETING
Use the meeting as an opportunity to ask as many questions as you want |
Now that you've already know a little bit about the companies that you preferred, set up a meeting with one of their agents. Make sure the meeting is during lunch hour or still in office hour. Preferable method is by inviting your future agent to your office to keep the environment as professional as possible. Make the meeting useful. Ask all the questions that you need to know. Don't leave any single questions out of doubt. The agent must be able to explain to you perfectly about your money flow.
✔BANK-IN FEE DIRECTLY TO INSURANCE COMPANY
- Instead of paying your insurance fee to your agents (who could run away with your money and sipping margarita in Hawaii.ehemm..i've tons of friends who've been cheated like that.D!*k head), why not start paying it directly to the insurance company account? But if you trust your agent 100%, then just go ahead as you prefer. hewhewhew~~~~
✔COMPARE AND MAKE YOUR CHOICE
- You've seen the policies of each company. You've asked them questions. You satisfied with answers. It's time for you to compare and make your choice. Usually this stage is the easiest one because you've already understood each company pros and cons. So choosing the right one should be easy.
- Having insurances are good. But too many insurance might increase your commitment. Therefore, don't be greedy. 1 or 2 life insurance/takaful is enough. As for me, I'm comfortable to have only 1 life insurance/takaful that gives me satisfying benefits. *wink*
✔DON'T BE SELFISH
- If you have enough money, get insurance/takaful for your family as well. After all, they are all you got. Try to prioritize parents and babies. I believe the more you do good deeds, the more 'barakah' your life will be.
So I guess that's all I can list the few things that you should do before having life insurance/takaful. As for me, up until now, I'm standing strong with Prudential BSN Takaful. I have no problem with hospital procedure. My medical card can be used ALMOST AT ANY CLINICS linked to Prudential. I have great life insurance/takaful agent who handling my case. Owh and before I forgot, if you have any hesitant or questions of how life insurance/takaful works, maybe you can spend some time and call my insurance agent for details:
